New Media Lab LLC is a marketing and communications company with multiple ventures inspired by entrepreneurship and innovation providing enrichment experiences for students and engagement of faculty while generating financial support for the Meek School of Journalism and New Media.

New Media Lab, was founded by Dr. Ed Meek to support the Meek School of Journalism and New Media. HottyToddy.com provides additional opportunities for Ole Miss students to become involved in the rapidly changing world of new media through internships..

1167244_10202017917236605_1413804693_oEd Meek, Publisher: Dr. Ed Meek is former Assistant Vice Chancellor for Public Relations and Marketing at the University and CEO of Oxford Publishing, a national publishing and trade show group. He is the founder of the Tupelo Furniture Market, one of the largest exhibition centers in America, Fellow of the American Council on Education and was awarded the Mississippi Governor’s Distinguished Citizen Award. He is the author or co-author of several books and currently serves as CEO of New Media Lab LLC, publisher of HottyToddy.Com. Allison Buchanan, CEO, New Media Lab LLC: Allison Buchanan is a Gulf Coast native and is an award-winning and experienced communications, marketing and business professional. She graduated cum laude from Ole Miss with a BA in journalism and minors in art and university scholars. Allison was in the Hall of Fame at Ole Miss, was ODK leader of the Year, Most Outstanding Journalism Student, PRSA Most Outstanding PR Student in Mississippi. She was very involved in the community on the Coast and was a member of the Biloxi School Board for eight years.

Callie Daniels Bryant, Senior Managing Editor: Callie Daniels is a Ridgeland native who has spent five years in Oxford so far. She holds a BA in journalism with emphasis on print from the Meek School of Journalism and New Media at University of Mississippi. She was the writers’ editor at the Ole Miss Annual Yearbook as well as a reporter for four years at the Daily Mississippian. Randall_headshotRandall Haley, Social Media Editor and Staff Writer: Randall Haley is a native of Clarksdale, Mississippi. She received a BA in print journalism with an emphasis in magazine and public relations from the Meek School of Journalism and New Media and a minor in Southern studies. Before becoming social media editor and staff writer for HottyToddy.com, she was a writer and copy editor for The Daily Mississippian and a copy editor of Meek Magazine. She is also a freelancer for The Delta Business Journal and The Cleveland Current. Meggie_headshotMeggie Carter, Marketing Representative: Meggie Carter is an Old Lyme, Connecticut native. She received a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications with a minor in Business Administration from The University of Mississippi’s Meek School of Journalism and New Media in May 2016. She was a contributor for the Meek Magazine authoring stories focused on honored Meek School Alumni. She studied abroad in Greece in June 2015 and was a member of the team that opened the Salvation Army in the Omonia neighborhood of Athens.




Stella_headshotStella Watson, Bookkeeper: Stella is a native of Oxford, MS where she attended Oxford High School. She finished at the top of her class from Rebel Cosmetology School in Oxford in 1966. Stella began bookkeeping for multiple companies including Allied Corporations based out of Munich, Germany. Stella also worked for the U.S. Army Central Accounting Division in Germany setting up document control for all the German bases in the 1990s. Upon completion, Stella assumed the role of Administrative Accounting at Central Accounting Division. In 2000, Stella began working accounts receivable for Oxford Publishing in Oxford, MS.



holly_headshotHolly Clay, Graphic Designer: Holly Barker Clay is originally from the Jackson area, but now calls Oxford her home. She is received her BFA in Visual Communications from the University of Mississippi in 1996. Before joining the HottyToddy.com team, she was a freelance designer and teacher. 





Collin Brister, Staff Writer: Collin Brister is a native of Eupora, Mississippi.
